Indication

Treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults, as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve blood sugar control.

Ingredients

• Sitagliptin 50 mg
• Metformin hydrochloride 500 mg

Direction

As directed by the physician or see package insert. Usually taken twice daily with meals. Swallow whole.

Side effects

• May cause nausea
• diarrhoea
• abdominal discomfort
• or low blood sugar. Consult a doctor or pharmacist if any adverse reaction occurs.

Precautions

• Risk of low blood sugar when combined with other diabetes medicines. Inform your doctor of kidney problems. On medical prescription only.
• Consult a doctor before use if pregnant or breastfeeding.
