Indication

Treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults, particularly in overweight patients, when diet and exercise alone do not control blood sugar.

Ingredients

• Metformin hydrochloride 1000 mg

Direction

For oral use. Take with or after meals as directed by a doctor. Swallow whole. Do not exceed the prescribed dose.

Side effects

• May cause nausea
• diarrhoea
• abdominal pain
• or metallic taste
• especially at the start of treatment. Consult a doctor or pharmacist if any adverse reaction occurs.

Precautions

• Inform your doctor of kidney problems
• metformin should be stopped before certain imaging procedures or surgery. Avoid excessive alcohol.
• Consult a doctor before use if pregnant or breastfeeding.
