Indication

Treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults, particularly in overweight patients, when diet and exercise alone do not control blood sugar.

For oral use. Take with or after meals as directed by a doctor. Swallow whole. Do not exceed the prescribed dose.

Side effects

May cause nausea
diarrhoea
abdominal pain
or metallic taste
especially at the start of treatment. Consult a doctor or pharmacist if any adverse reaction occurs.

Precautions

Inform your doctor of kidney problems
metformin should be stopped before certain imaging procedures or surgery. Avoid excessive alcohol.
Consult a doctor before use if pregnant or breastfeeding.
