Indication
Prevention and treatment of vitamin C deficiency in situations and conditions with increased requirement or risk of deficiency.
Ingredients
- Ascorbic acid 1 g per 5 ml ampoule
Direction
Injectable solution for intravenous (I.V.) use. One ampoule per day by intravenous injection, or as directed by a doctor. For prevention and treatment of deficiencies, 500-1000 mg daily.
Side effects
- High doses may cause digestive upset or
- rarely
- kidney stones. Consult a doctor or pharmacist if any adverse reaction occurs.
Precautions
- For intravenous injection by a healthcare professional only. Do not use in case of nephrolithiasis (kidney stones)
- hyperoxaluria
- severe renal insufficiency
- hemochromatosis
- or sensitivity to sulphur.
- Consult a doctor before use if pregnant or breastfeeding.
