Indication

Prevention and treatment of vitamin C deficiency in situations and conditions with increased requirement or risk of deficiency.

Ingredients

• Ascorbic acid 1 g per 5 ml ampoule

Direction

Injectable solution for intravenous (I.V.) use. One ampoule per day by intravenous injection, or as directed by a doctor. For prevention and treatment of deficiencies, 500-1000 mg daily.

Side effects

• High doses may cause digestive upset or
• rarely
• kidney stones. Consult a doctor or pharmacist if any adverse reaction occurs.

Precautions

• For intravenous injection by a healthcare professional only. Do not use in case of nephrolithiasis (kidney stones)
• hyperoxaluria
• severe renal insufficiency
• hemochromatosis
• or sensitivity to sulphur.
• Consult a doctor before use if pregnant or breastfeeding.
