Indication

- Congestive heart failure - Edema (fluid retention) - Hepatic cirrhosis with ascites - Resistant hypertension - Nephrotic syndrome

Ingredients

• Spironolactone and Furosemide

Direction

Take one tablet orally once daily, preferably in the morning to prevent sleep interruption. Take with or without food as directed by your physician.

Side effects

• Frequent urination
• Electrolyte imbalance (low sodium/high potassium)
• Dizziness or lightheadedness
• Gynecomastia (breast enlargement in men)
• Dehydration and dry mouth

Precautions

• Monitor serum potassium and sodium levels
• Contraindicated in severe kidney failure
• Avoid use with potassium supplements
• Potential for sulfonamide cross
