Indication
- Hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid) - Thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) suppression - Management of euthyroid goiter - Adjunctive therapy for thyroid cancer
Ingredients
- Levothyroxine Sodium
Direction
Take orally once daily on an empty stomach, 30 to 60 minutes before breakfast. Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water.
Side effects
- Heart palpitations or tachycardia
- Nervousness or anxiety
- Insomnia or sleep disturbances
- Heat intolerance
- Weight loss
- Tremors
Precautions
- Not for weight loss treatment
- Monitor patients with cardiovascular disease
- Adjust dose in diabetic patients
- Separate from calcium or iron supplements
- Periodic TSH level monitoring required
