Indication
- Herpes simplex virus infections - Genital herpes treatment and suppression - Herpes zoster (shingles) - Varicella (chickenpox) - Prevention of herpes in immunocompromised patients
Ingredients
- Aciclovir (Acyclovir)
Direction
Take orally with or without food. Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water and maintain adequate hydration during treatment.
Side effects
- Nausea and vomiting
- Diarrhea
- Headache
- Abdominal pain
- Skin rashes or photosensitivity
Precautions
- Maintain high fluid intake
- Adjust dose in renal impairment
- Use caution in elderly patients
- Monitor neurological reactions in high doses
