Indication

- Postmenopausal osteoporosis - Osteoporosis in men - Prevention of bone fractures - Increase bone mass density

Ingredients

• Alendronate Sodium

Direction

Take one 70mg tablet once weekly on an empty stomach with a full glass of plain water. Do not lie down, eat, or take other medications for at least 30 minutes after administration.

Side effects

• Heartburn or acid reflux
• Abdominal pain
• Nausea or dyspepsia
• Musculoskeletal pain
• Esophageal irritation or ulcers

Precautions

• Do not lie down after ingestion
• Avoid if unable to sit upright
• Contraindicated in esophageal abnormalities
• Correct hypocalcemia before starting treatment
• Risk of osteonecrosis of the jaw
• Avoid in severe renal impairment
