Cephalexin 500 mg per capsule

Indication

First-generation cephalosporin antibiotic for respiratory and ENT infections, urinary tract infections, gynaecological and obstetric infections, skin and joint infections, and gonorrhoea and syphilis when penicillin is not suitable.

Ingredients

• Cephalexin (base) 500 mg

Direction

Adults and children over 12 years: 500 mg three times a day. Children 5-12 years: 250 mg three times a day. Or as directed by a doctor.

Side effects

• May cause diarrhoea
• nausea
• vomiting or allergic skin reactions. Stop use and seek medical advice if any adverse reaction occurs.

Precautions

• Consult a doctor before use. Do not use if allergic to cephalosporins or penicillins. Complete the full prescribed course. Stop use and seek medical advice if rash
