Indication

Levofloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections such as pneumonia, sinusitis, bronchitis, urinary tract infections, and skin infections caused by susceptible organisms.

Ingredients

• Levofloxacin 500 mg

Direction

As directed by the physician. Usual adult dose is 500 mg once daily, or as prescribed.

Side effects

• Nausea
• diarrhoea or abdominal discomfort
• Headache
• dizziness or insomnia
• Tendon pain or inflammation (rare but serious)
• Photosensitivity or skin rash
• Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use
• stop if irritation or allergy occurs

Precautions

• Avoid excessive sun exposure during treatment
• Use with caution in patients with a history of tendon disorders
