Axol 3 mg / mL

Indication

For the treatment of respiratory disorders associated with viscid (thick) mucus, reducing cough without influence on gastric acid secretion.

Ingredients

• Ambroxol Hydrochloride 3 mg per mL
• Ethanol (as 96%) 2% v/v
• Methyl Paraben 0.06% w/v
• Propyl Paraben 0.03% w/v

Direction

Adults and over 10 years: 10 mL 3 times daily. Children 5-10 years: 5 mL 2 to 3 times daily. Children 2-5 years: 2.5 mL 3 times daily. Under 2 years: 2.5 mL 2 times daily. Shake well before use.

Side effects

• Mild gastrointestinal effects such as nausea or stomach upset
• Heartburn or indigestion
• Allergic skin reactions (rare)
• Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use
• stop if irritation or allergy occurs

Precautions

• Use with caution in patients with gastric ulcer
• Consult a doctor before use in pregnancy (especially first trimester) or breastfeeding
• Use with caution in patients with impaired kidney or liver function
• Contains a small amount of alcohol
