Dosmectine 3 g per 20 mL sachet

Indication

Dosmectine is indicated for symptoms related to the oesophagus, gastric, duodenal and enteric diseases, and for the treatment of chronic and acute diarrhoea.

Ingredients

• Dioctahedral smectite 3 g

Direction

Adults: take 20 mL each time, three to four times a day. During the initial 3 days of acute diarrhoea, the daily dose can be doubled. Take between meals; in the case of oesophagitis, take after meals. Children over 24 months: take 20 mL each, two to three times a day.

Side effects

• Constipation may occur
• especially with overdose

Precautions

• May reduce the absorption of other medicines
• separate doses by 1
• 2 hours
• Maintain adequate hydration when treating diarrhoea
• Consult a doctor if diarrhoea persists or fever or blood in the stool occurs
