Caltoux 6.65 mg / 5 mL (Dextromethorphan hydrobromide)

Indication

Symptomatic relief of dry cough.

Ingredients

• Dextromethorphan hydrobromide 6.65 mg (per 5 mL)

Direction

Adult and child from 15 years old: 10 to 20 mL, to be renewed after 4 to 6 hours if needed. The maximum daily dose is 120 mg of dextromethorphan hydrobromide.

• Drowsiness
• dizziness or fatigue
• Nausea or gastrointestinal discomfort
• At high doses
• confusion or excitation
• Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use
• stop if irritation or allergy occurs

Precautions

• Do not use for productive (wet) cough with mucus
• Do not exceed the maximum daily dose of 120 mg dextromethorphan
• Do not use with MAO inhibitors or within 2 weeks of stopping them
• May cause drowsiness
• avoid driving or operating machinery
• Consult a doctor before use in pregnancy or breastfeeding
