Panadol Extra 500 mg / 65 mg

Indication

For fast and effective relief of mild-to-moderate pain and reduction of fever, including headache, migraine, sore throat, muscle ache, dysmenorrhoea, musculoskeletal pain, pain after dental procedures or tooth extraction, toothache, earache, osteoarthritis pain, and pain associated with cold and flu.

Ingredients

• Paracetamol 500 mg
• Caffeine 65 mg

Direction

Adults (including the elderly) and children aged 12 years and over: 1 or 2 tablets every 4 to 6 hours as required. Oral administration only. Do not exceed the stated dose. Minimum dosing interval 4 hours. Maximum daily dose: 8 tablets (4000 mg paracetamol / 520 mg caffeine) in 24 hours.

Side effects

• Allergic reactions such as skin rash (rare)
• Liver damage with overdose or excessive use
• Caffeine may cause restlessness
• sleeplessness or palpitations
• especially with other caffeine sources
• Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use
• stop if irritation or allergy occurs

Precautions

• Do not exceed the stated dose
• Contraindicated in patients with previous hypersensitivity to paracetamol
• caffeine or any excipient
• Limit intake of other caffeine
• containing products while taking this medicine
• Use with caution in patients with liver or kidney impairment
• avoid concurrent use of other paracetamol
• containing products and alcohol
