Indication
For symptomatic treatment of painful osteoarthritis (arthrosis, degenerative joint disease), and for symptomatic treatment of rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis.
Ingredients
- Meloxicam 7.5 mg
Direction
Adults: osteoarthritis 7.5 mg once daily (may increase to 15 mg if needed); rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis 15 mg once daily. Take with water during a meal. Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration. Read the enclosed leaflet carefully before use.
Side effects
- Dyspepsia
- nausea
- abdominal pain
- diarrhoea and other gastrointestinal effects
- Headache
- dizziness or oedema
- Risk of gastric ulcer or bleeding
- and cardiovascular events with prolonged use
- Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use
- stop if irritation or allergy occurs
Precautions
- Contraindicated in active peptic ulcer or GI bleeding
- severe heart failure
- severe hepatic or renal impairment
- and hypersensitivity to meloxicam
- aspirin or other NSAIDs
- Use with caution in patients with cardiovascular disease
- hypertension
- or a history of gastrointestinal disease
- Avoid in the third trimester of pregnancy
- Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest time and avoid combining with other NSAIDs
