Mobic 7.5 mg

Indication

For symptomatic treatment of painful osteoarthritis (arthrosis, degenerative joint disease), and for symptomatic treatment of rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis.

Ingredients

• Meloxicam 7.5 mg

Direction

Adults: osteoarthritis 7.5 mg once daily (may increase to 15 mg if needed); rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis 15 mg once daily. Take with water during a meal. Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration. Read the enclosed leaflet carefully before use.

Side effects

• Dyspepsia
• nausea
• abdominal pain
• diarrhoea and other gastrointestinal effects
• Headache
• dizziness or oedema
• Risk of gastric ulcer or bleeding
• and cardiovascular events with prolonged use
• Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use
• stop if irritation or allergy occurs

Precautions

• Contraindicated in active peptic ulcer or GI bleeding
• severe heart failure
• severe hepatic or renal impairment
• and hypersensitivity to meloxicam
• aspirin or other NSAIDs
• Use with caution in patients with cardiovascular disease
• hypertension
• or a history of gastrointestinal disease
• Avoid in the third trimester of pregnancy
• Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest time and avoid combining with other NSAIDs
