Indication
- Streptococcal pharyngitis - Tonsillitis - Rheumatic fever prophylaxis - Mild to moderate skin infections - Prophylaxis of pneumococcal infections
Ingredients
- Phenoxymethylpenicillin (Penicillin V Potassium)
Direction
Take orally on an empty stomach, at least one hour before or two hours after meals. Usually taken every 6 to 8 hours as directed by a physician.
Side effects
- Nausea and vomiting
- Diarrhea
- Skin rash
- Abdominal pain
- Urticaria
Precautions
- Hypersensitivity to penicillins or cephalosporins
- History of asthma or allergies
- Use with caution in renal impairment
- Risk of anaphylactic reactions
