Indication
For accelerated haemopoietic response in pregnancy and anaemias. Used for the prevention and treatment of iron-deficiency anaemia.
Ingredients
- Ferrous fumarate 162 mg (equivalent to iron 53.25 mg)
- Folic acid 0.75 mg
- Vitamin B12 7.50 mcg
Direction
As directed by a physician. Usually one capsule daily.
Side effects
- Constipation
- dark stools
- nausea or stomach upset may occur
- Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use
- stop if irritation or allergy occurs
Precautions
- Keep out of reach of children
- iron overdose can be fatal in children
- Use with caution in patients with peptic ulcer or inflammatory bowel disease
- Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use
