Oracortia 0.1%

Indication

Adjunctive treatment for temporary relief of symptoms associated with acute and chronic oral inflammatory or ulcerative lesions, such as mouth ulcers, resulting from trauma.

Ingredients

• Triamcinolone acetonide 1.0 mg/g (0.1%)

Direction

Apply a small amount of the paste to the lesion without rubbing until a thin film develops. Best applied at bedtime to permit steroid contact with the lesion throughout the night. For external use only.

Side effects

• Local irritation or burning at the application site
• Delayed healing of oral lesions
• Secondary oral infection with prolonged use
• Thinning of the oral mucosa
• Allergic reaction

• Do not use on large areas or for prolonged periods without medical advice
• Avoid use if an untreated oral infection is present
