Ventolin 100 mcg / actuation

Indication

Relief and prevention of bronchospasm in asthma and other conditions associated with reversible airways obstruction; bronchodilator.

Ingredients

• Salbutamol (as salbutamol sulfate) 100 mcg per actuation

Direction

Shake well before use. For acute bronchospasm: 1 to 2 inhalations as needed. For prevention before exercise or allergen exposure: 2 inhalations. Do not exceed the recommended dose. Use as directed by a physician.

Side effects

• Tremor (especially of the hands)
• Headache
• Palpitations and increased heart rate
• Muscle cramps
• Throat and mouth irritation

Precautions

• Use with caution in patients with hyperthyroidism
• cardiovascular disease or diabetes
• Increasing need for the inhaler indicates worsening asthma — seek medical review
• Do not exceed the stated dose
• Pressurised can: do not puncture
• break or burn even when empty
