Indication
NEO-K is a combination antitussive and expectorant used for the relief of cough and to help loosen and expel sputum (phlegm) associated with respiratory tract conditions.
Ingredients
- Dihydrocodeine bitartrate 5 mg
- DL
- Methylephedrine hydrochloride 17.5 mg
- Guaifenesin 50 mg
- Chlorpheniramine maleate 1.5 mg
Direction
Adults: 2 tablets orally, 3 times a day. Children 8 to 11 years: 1 tablet orally, 3 times a day. Children 11 to 15 years: 1 to 2 tablets orally, 3 times a day. Use as directed by a doctor or pharmacist.
Side effects
- Drowsiness
- Constipation
- Nausea
- Dizziness
- Dry mouth
- Palpitations
- Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use
- stop if irritation or allergy occurs
Precautions
- Contains dihydrocodeine (an opioid)
- do not exceed the recommended dose due to risk of dependence and respiratory depression
- Avoid in children under 12 years where codeine derivatives are restricted
- use under medical supervision
- May cause drowsiness
- avoid driving or operating machinery
- Avoid alcohol and other sedatives
- Use with caution in patients with respiratory disease
