Indication
Appetine is an antihistamine used as an appetite stimulant and for the symptomatic treatment of various allergic manifestations such as allergic rhinitis, allergic conjunctivitis, pruritus and allergic skin disorders (urticaria, local reactions to insect bites).
Ingredients
- Cyproheptadine (as hydrochloride) 4 mg
Direction
Children 2 to 6 years: ½ tablet, 2 to 3 times a day. Children 7 to 14 years: 1 tablet, 2 to 3 times a day. Adults: 1 tablet, 3 to 4 times a day. Use as directed by a doctor or pharmacist.
Side effects
- Drowsiness
- Increased appetite and weight gain
- Dry mouth
- Dizziness
- Fatigue
- Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use
- stop if irritation or allergy occurs
Precautions
- Contraindicated in newborns
- premature infants and in glaucoma
- urinary retention or stenosing peptic ulcer
- Not recommended for elderly debilitated patients without medical advice
- May cause drowsiness

- Avoid alcohol and other sedatives
