Mediclovir 50 mg/g

Indication

For herpes simplex virus infections of the skin and herpes labialis, including initial and recurrent genital herpes.

Ingredients

• Aciclovir 50 mg per gram

Direction

Apply 5 times daily at approximately 4 hourly intervals. Treatment should be continued for 5 days; if healing is not completed after 5 days, treatment may be continued for another 5 days.

Side effects

• May cause transient burning
• stinging
• itching or dryness at the application site. Consult a doctor or pharmacist if reactions persist.
