Indication
- Severe acute pain - Post-operative pain - Colic pain - High fever resistant to other treatments - Cancer-related pain
Ingredients
- Metamizole Sodium (Dipyrone)
Direction
Administer orally, intravenously, or intramuscularly as prescribed. Adult dosage is typically 500mg to 1000mg up to four times daily.
Side effects
- Agranulocytosis
- Hypotension (especially with rapid IV)
- Allergic skin reactions
- Nausea and vomiting
- Renal impairment (rare)
Precautions
- Risk of life
- threatening agranulocytosis
- Allergy to pyrazolone derivatives
- History of asthma or bronchospasm
- Avoid during pregnancy and lactation
- Monitor blood count during long
- term use
