Betadine Dermique 10% 10%

Indication

Antiseptic containing iodine used for the disinfection of intact skin and superficial wounds, the treatment of skin and mucous membrane infections, and antisepsis of the skin before surgery.

Ingredients

• Povidone iodine 10 g per 100 mL

Direction

Apply undiluted to the skin for antisepsis, or diluted for wound cleansing as directed. For wounds, dilute 1/10 with water or physiological saline. For external use; spray onto the area to be treated.

Side effects

• May cause local skin irritation or allergic reaction. Stop if irritation or allergy occurs and consult a doctor.

Precautions

• For external use. Avoid use during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy and while breastfeeding without medical advice. Avoid in patients with thyroid disorders or iodine allergy. Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use.
