Woods' Peppermint Expectorant 4 mg / 100 mg per 5 ml

Indication

Productive cough; cough due to bronchitis or emphysema.

Ingredients

• Bromhexine HCl 4 mg per 5 ml
• Guaifenesin 100 mg per 5 ml
• Ethanol 6% v/v

Direction

Adults and children over 12 years: 2 teaspoonfuls (10 ml) 3 times a day. Children 6-12 years: 1 teaspoonful (5 ml) 3 times a day. Shake well before use.

Side effects

• The occasional adverse reaction is gastrointestinal disturbance. Rare effects are allergic skin rashes and vomiting. Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use

Precautions

• Special precaution is needed in gastrointestinal ulceration patients
• during pregnancy and lactation. Guaifenesin may give false positive results of urinary 5
• hydroxyindoleacetic acid (5
