Tranex Injection 500 mg/5 mL

Indication

A hemostatic and antiplasmin agent used to prevent and treat excessive bleeding in various conditions, including surgery and heavy menstrual bleeding.

Ingredients

• Tranexamic acid 500 mg

Direction

For adults, 250-500 mg/day of tranexamic acid is usually administered I.V. or I.M. once or in two divided doses, or as directed by a physician.

Side effects

• May cause nausea
• vomiting
• diarrhea
• and rarely visual disturbances or blood clots.

Precautions

• Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use
• stop if irritation or allergy occurs. Keep out of reach of children. Use with caution in patients with a history of blood clots.
