Indication
A hemostatic and antiplasmin agent used to prevent and treat excessive bleeding in various conditions, including surgery and heavy menstrual bleeding.
Ingredients
- Tranexamic acid 500 mg
Direction
For adults, 250-500 mg/day of tranexamic acid is usually administered I.V. or I.M. once or in two divided doses, or as directed by a physician.
Side effects
- May cause nausea
- vomiting
- diarrhea
- and rarely visual disturbances or blood clots.
Precautions
- Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use
- stop if irritation or allergy occurs. Keep out of reach of children. Use with caution in patients with a history of blood clots.
