Indication
Used to treat and prevent osteoporosis by strengthening bone and reducing the risk of fractures.
Ingredients
- Alendronate sodium USP equivalent to Alendronic acid 70 mg
Direction
Take one tablet once weekly as directed by the physician. See package insert for full prescribing information.
Side effects
- May cause abdominal pain
- heartburn
- or muscle and joint pain. Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use
- stop if irritation or allergy occurs.
Precautions
- Take with a full glass of plain water on an empty stomach and remain upright for at least 30 minutes
- do not lie down afterward. Inform your doctor of any swallowing problems
- kidney disease
- or low blood calcium.
