Indication

Broad-spectrum fluoroquinolone antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections such as urinary tract, respiratory, gastrointestinal, skin and other susceptible infections.

Ingredients

• Ciprofloxacin 500 mg (as ciprofloxacin hydrochloride)

Direction

Take orally according to the physician's advice. Swallow the tablets whole. Complete the full prescribed course.

Side effects

• May cause nausea
• diarrhoea
• dizziness
• tendon pain or rash. Stop use and seek medical advice if tendon pain or allergic reaction occurs. Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use.

Precautions

• Subject to medical prescription. Fluoroquinolones
• including ciprofloxacin
• are associated with an increased risk of tendinitis and tendon rupture in all ages
• this risk is higher in patients over 60
• those taking corticosteroids and those with kidney
• heart or lung transplants. Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use.
