Indication
- Symptomatic treatment of constipation - Stool softening for easier evacuation - Management of chronic constipation
Ingredients
- Macrogol 4000 (Polyethylene Glycol 4000)
Direction
Dissolve the contents of the sachet in a glass of water and drink immediately. Usually taken as 1-2 sachets daily, preferably as a single dose in the morning.
Side effects
- Abdominal pain or bloating
- Diarrhea from excessive dosage
- Nausea or vomiting
- Flatulence and gas
Precautions
- Do not use if bowel obstruction suspected
- Avoid in severe inflammatory bowel disease
- Contraindicated in cases of intestinal perforation
- Consult doctor for persistent abdominal pain
- Monitor electrolyte balance in elderly patients
