Indication
- Pinworm (Enterobius vermicularis) - Whipworm (Trichuris trichiura) - Large roundworm (Ascaris lumbricoides) - Common hookworm (Ancylostoma duodenale) - American hookworm (Necator americanus)
Ingredients
- Mebendazole
Direction
Take one 500mg tablet as a single oral dose. The tablet may be chewed, swallowed whole, or crushed and mixed with food.
Side effects
- Abdominal pain
- Diarrhea
- Flatulence
- Dizziness
- Rare skin rash or hives
Precautions
- Not recommended for children under 2
- Contraindicated during the first trimester of pregnancy
- Caution in patients with liver impairment
- Possible interaction with Cimetidine or Metronidazole
