Indication
Management of type 2 diabetes mellitus (non-insulin-dependent diabetes) in adults when diet and exercise alone do not provide adequate glycaemic control.
Ingredients
- Glibenclamide 5 mg
Direction
For oral use. Refer to package insert for dosage and other information. Typically 2.5–5 mg once daily with breakfast; adjust based on blood glucose response.
Side effects
- Consult a doctor or pharmacist if any unexpected reactions occur
- including signs of hypoglycaemia (sweating
- tremor
- dizziness) or allergy such as rash
- itching
- or swelling.
Precautions
- Not for use in type 1 diabetes
- diabetic ketoacidosis
- or severe renal/hepatic impairment. Monitor blood glucose regularly. Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use if you have any pre
- existing medical conditions or are taking other medications. Stop use if irritation or allergic reaction occurs.
