Cotrim 960 mg

Indication

Treatment of infections caused by susceptible organisms: acute and chronic bronchopulmonary infections, urogenital infections (especially prostate), otitis media, digestive infections including typhoid fever and sigmoiditis, Pneumocystis carinii infections, toxoplasma gondii infections; prophylaxis of Pneumocystis carinii infections in HIV carriers and organ transplant recipients.

Ingredients

• Sulfaméthoxazole 800 mg
• Triméthoprime 160 mg

Direction

Usual dose: 1 tablet twice daily. Severe cases: 3 tablets per day. Special cases: acute cystitis 3 tablets as single dose; Pneumocystis carinii infections 3 to 6 tablets per day in 3 to 4 doses. Take preferably with meals.

Side effects
