Cotrim P.P.M Sulfamethoxazole 200 mg + Trimethoprim 40 mg per 5 mL

Indication

Treatment of infections caused by sensitive micro-organisms: genitourinary tract infections, upper and lower respiratory tract infections, otitis, sinusitis, gastrointestinal tract infections, typhoid fever, Pneumocystis carinii pneumonia.

Ingredients

• Sulfamethoxazole 200 mg per 5 mL
• Trimethoprim 40 mg per 5 mL

Direction

Usual dose: Sulfamethoxazole 15 mg/kg and Trimethoprim 3 mg/kg, twice per day. 6 weeks to 5 months: 2.5 mL twice per day. 6 months to 5 years: 5 mL twice per day. 6 to 12 years: 10 mL twice per day. In severe infections increase dose by 50%. Shake well before use.
