Indication
Prevention of gout attacks, familial Mediterranean fever, pericarditis.
Ingredients
- Colchicine BP 1 mg
Direction
As directed by the physician. Dosage varies by age: adults 1 tablet per dose up to 3 times per 24 hours. Do not exceed 3 tablets per day. Swallow whole with water after food.
Side effects
- Pain in abdomen (stomach area)
- constipation
- diarrhoea
- nausea
- vomiting. Stop use and consult a doctor if signs of irritation or allergic reaction occur.
Precautions
- Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use. Do not use if allergic to colchicine
- with severe blood disorder
- severe kidney or liver problems
- or in pregnant/breastfeeding women. Do not eat grapefruit or drink grapefruit juice.
