Indication
Treatment and prevention of calcium deficiency states: rickets and malnutrition in children, osteoporosis in the elderly. Supplement of calcium for subjects who need increased calcium demand: children during growth phase, pregnant women or breast-feeding mothers.
Ingredients
- Calcium gluconate 500 mg
- Vitamin D3 200 IU
Direction
Adults: oral dose of 1 tablet twice daily. Children: oral dose of 1 tablet once to twice daily. Treatment of rickets in children: oral dose of 2 tablets twice daily. Treatment of osteoporosis in adults: oral dose of 2 tablets x 3 times daily. Or as directed by the physician.
Side effects
- Generally well tolerated at recommended doses. Consult a doctor or pharmacist if irritation
- allergic reaction
- or unexpected effects occur. Stop use if adverse reaction is noted.
Precautions
- Contraindicated in hypersensitivity to any components of the drug
- impaired renal function
- hypercalcaemia
- hypercalciuria
- and Vitamin D poisoning. Keep out of reach of children. Read the directions carefully before use. Consult a doctor or pharmacist if in doubt.
