Indication
Treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults, particularly in overweight patients when dietary management and exercise alone are insufficient
Ingredients
- Metformin HCl 500 mg
Direction

Side effects
- May cause gastrointestinal disturbances such as nausea
- vomiting
- diarrhoea
- and abdominal pain
- especially at initiation. Lactic acidosis is a rare but serious risk. Consult a doctor or pharmacist if adverse effects arise.
Precautions
- To be used on medical prescription only. Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use. Not for use in patients with renal impairment
- hepatic failure
- or conditions predisposing to lactic acidosis. Stop use and seek medical advice if adverse effects occur.
