AnaKonidin 50 mg/4 mg per 5 ml

Indication

Symptomatic relief of productive cough in children; mucolytic and expectorant for upper and lower respiratory tract conditions with viscous mucous secretion.

Ingredients

• Guaifenesin 50 mg
• Bromhexine Hydrochloride 4 mg

Direction

2–6 years: 3 times daily, 1/2 spoonful (2.5 ml); 6–12 years: 3 times daily, 1 spoonful (5 ml). Oral use. Shake well before use.

Side effects

• Gastrointestinal discomforts (nausea
• vomiting
• diarrhea)
• peptic ulcer
• headache
• vertigo
• excessive sweating
• allergic reactions. Increased serum aminotransferase values have been reported with Bromhexine HCl.

Precautions

• Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any ingredient
• severe hypertension
• severe coronary artery disease
• or patients on MAO inhibitor therapy. Use with caution in patients with peptic ulcer—may increase transaminase levels. Special precaution during first trimester of pregnancy. Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use
• stop if irritation or allergic reaction occurs.
