Indication
Treatment of fungal infections including dermatophytosis, pityriasis versicolor, candidiasis (oral, vulvovaginal, oesophageal, systemic), cryptococcosis, aspergillosis, onychomycosis, and histoplasmosis.
Ingredients
- Itraconazole 100 mg
Direction
As directed by the physician. Typically 100–400 mg daily depending on indication and severity. Take with or after a full meal.
Side effects
- Consult a doctor or pharmacist if any side effects occur. May include nausea
- vomiting
- abdominal pain
- headache
- dizziness
- rash
- and elevated liver enzymes. Stop use and seek medical attention if signs of serious allergic reaction appear.
Precautions
- Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use. Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to itraconazole or any excipient. Use with caution in patients with hepatic impairment. Stop if signs of liver toxicity or allergic reaction occur.
