Indication

Mucolytic agent used as adjunct therapy in acute and chronic respiratory tract disorders associated with excessive or viscous mucus secretion, including chronic bronchitis, acute tracheobronchitis, and acute exacerbations of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

Ingredients

• Erdosteine 300 mg

Direction

As directed by the physician. Usual adult dose: 1 capsule twice or three times daily for up to 10 days in acute conditions, or as directed.

Side effects

• Generally well tolerated. May include gastrointestinal disturbances (nausea
• vomiting
• diarrhoea)
• skin rash. Stop use and consult a doctor or pharmacist if allergic reaction or irritation occurs.

Precautions

• Use with caution in patients with hepatic or renal impairment. Keep out of reach of children. Consult a doctor before use if pregnant or breastfeeding.
