Indication

Management of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycaemic control when metformin alone does not provide adequate control.

Ingredients

• Vildagliptin 50 mg
• Metformin HCl USP 850 mg

As directed by the physician or see package insert for full prescribing information. Do not store above 30°C. Do not store in sunlight and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.

Side effects

• May include hypoglycaemia
• nasopharyngitis
• headache
• dizziness
• nausea
• diarrhoea
• gastrointestinal upset
• lactic acidosis (rare). Stop use and consult a doctor or pharmacist if allergic reaction or irritation occurs.

Precautions

• Prescription only. Contraindicated in renal impairment
• hepatic impairment
• and conditions predisposing to lactic acidosis. Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use if pregnant or breastfeeding.
