Indication
Management of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycaemic control when metformin alone does not provide adequate control.
Ingredients
- Vildagliptin 50 mg
- Metformin HCl USP 850 mg
Direction
As directed by the physician or see package insert for full prescribing information. Do not store above 30°C. Do not store in sunlight and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
Side effects
- May include hypoglycaemia
- nasopharyngitis
- headache
- dizziness
- nausea
- diarrhoea
- gastrointestinal upset
- lactic acidosis (rare). Stop use and consult a doctor or pharmacist if allergic reaction or irritation occurs.
Precautions
- Prescription only. Contraindicated in renal impairment
- hepatic impairment
- and conditions predisposing to lactic acidosis. Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use if pregnant or breastfeeding.
