Indication
Management of conditions associated with excessive uric acid production or renal calculi, including gout, uric acid nephropathy, and prophylaxis in hyperuricaemia associated with cancer treatment.
Ingredients
- Allopurinol 100 mg
Direction
As directed by physician. Take orally. The recommended daily dose is 100–300 mg for mild conditions, up to 900 mg for severe conditions. Take after meals to reduce gastric irritation.
Side effects
- Consult a doctor or pharmacist if any adverse effects occur. Stop use and seek immediate medical attention if signs of serious allergic reaction such as severe skin rash
- fever
- or swollen lymph nodes appear.
Precautions
- Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use. Prescription only medicine. Must not be used in pregnancy without therapeutic alternative (danger). Stop use and seek medical attention if skin rash or hypersensitivity reaction occurs.
