Indication

Management of type 2 diabetes mellitus, particularly in overweight patients, when diet and exercise alone do not provide adequate glycaemic control.

Ingredients

• Metformin Hydrochloride 1000 mg BP

Side effects

• diarrhoea
• or abdominal pain
• especially at the start of treatment. Stop use and seek medical attention if signs of lactic acidosis or allergic reaction occur.

Precautions

• Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use. Not for use in type 1 diabetes or in patients with renal impairment. Stop use and consult a doctor if irritation or allergic reaction occurs. Keep out of reach of children. Store below 30°C. Protect from moisture.
