Zyloric 300 mg

Indication

Treatment of gout, hyperuricaemia associated with neoplastic disease or its treatment, prevention of uric acid or calcium oxalate renal stones.

Ingredients

• Allopurinol

Direction

Adults: 100–300 mg daily initially; usual maintenance 200–600 mg daily in divided doses. Take after meals with plenty of fluid.

Side effects

• Skin rash
• hypersensitivity reactions
• nausea
• vomiting
• drowsiness. Stop if serious skin reaction occurs and consult a doctor or pharmacist.

Precautions

• Not for use during acute gout attack. Use with caution in renal or hepatic impairment. Discontinue if skin rash develops. Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use.
