Woods' Peppermint Antitussive Dextromethorphan HBr 7.5 mg + Diphenhydramine HCl 12.5 mg per 5 ml

Indication

Non-productive cough due to allergy.

Ingredients

• Dextromethorphan HBr 7.5 mg per 5 ml
• Diphenhydramine HCl 12.5 mg per 5 ml

Direction

Adults and children over 12 years: 2 teaspoons (10 ml) 3 times a day. Children 6–12 years: 1 teaspoon (5 ml) 3 times a day.

Side effects

• May cause drowsiness. Vomiting
• dizziness
• drowsiness and constipation may occur. Consult a doctor or pharmacist if any adverse effect occurs or worsens.

Precautions

• Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use. Shake well before use. Keep out of the reach of children. Keep container tightly closed. Protect from direct sunlight. Store below 30°C. Not recommended for children under 6 years old except by physician's advice. Not recommended for productive cough. Do not drive or operate machine while using the medicine. Special precaution should be taken for patients taking alcohol or tranquilizer. Concomitant use with MAO inhibitors could give CNS stimulation and severe respiratory depression. Contraindicated in patients with function disorder (ex. asthma
• emphysema). Stop use and consult a doctor if irritation or allergic reaction occurs.
