Glucophage 850 mg

Indication

Treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus, particularly in overweight patients, when dietary management and exercise alone do not result in adequate glycaemic control.

Ingredients

• Metformin hydrochloride 850 mg (corresponding to 662.9 mg metformin base)

Direction

Take orally with or after meals as directed by a physician. Dose is adjusted individually based on blood glucose response. Read the enclosed leaflet carefully and do not exceed the stated dose.

Side effects

• Gastrointestinal effects such as nausea
• vomiting
• diarrhoea and abdominal pain
• Taste disturbance (metallic taste)
• Rarely lactic acidosis and vitamin B12 deficiency with long
• term use
