Direction

Administer by intravenous infusion through a peripheral or central vein. The rate of infusion should be slow and adjusted based on the patient's weight and metabolic capacity.

• Headache
• Thrombophlebitis
• Fat overload syndrome

Precautions

• Hypersensitivity to egg or soy
• Severe hyperlipidemia
• Severe liver insufficiency
• Monitor serum triglyceride levels
• Risk of fat embolism
