Indication

- Severe bacterial infections - Complicated urinary tract infections - Lower respiratory tract infections - Intra-abdominal infections - Skin and skin structure infections - Bone and joint infections - Nosocomial pneumonia

Ingredients

• Ciprofloxacin

Direction

Administered by slow intravenous infusion over a period of 60 minutes. Dosage and frequency are determined by the severity of the infection and renal function.

• Injection site reactions
• Headache
• Dizziness
• Skin rash

Precautions

• Risk of tendonitis and tendon rupture
• May exacerbate muscle weakness in Myasthenia gravis
• Risk of central nervous system effects
• Potential for QT interval prolongation
• Requires dosage adjustment in renal impairment
• Avoid use with known hypersensitivity to quinolones
