- Hyperglycemia
- Glycosuria
- Fluid overload or edema
- Local vein irritation/thrombophlebitis
- Electrolyte imbalance
Precautions
- Monitor blood glucose levels
- Monitor fluid and electrolyte balance
- Risk of circulatory overload
- Use caution in diabetic patients
- Not for subcutaneous administration
- Avoid rapid infusion rates
