Indication
- Gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD) - Duodenal and gastric ulcers - Helicobacter pylori eradication - NSAID-associated gastric ulcers - Zollinger-Ellison syndrome
Ingredients
- Omeprazole
Direction
Take orally once daily in the morning, swallowed whole with water before a meal. Do not crush or chew the tablets or capsules.
Side effects
- Headache
- Diarrhea or constipation
- Nausea and vomiting
- Abdominal pain
- Flatulence
Precautions
- Hypersensitivity to proton pump inhibitors
- May mask gastric malignancy symptoms
- Increased risk of bone fractures
- Severe diarrhea from bacterial infection
- Interacts with clopidogrel and antivirals
